102 – Going in Circles

A swirling vortex will be inside the rolling barrel entrance to a funhouse in my quilt. At first, I thought to use the darkest of fabrics to make the look of a black hole, so I stitched on top of an easy tear-off stabilizer that had the design drawn onto it. When I tore off some of the stabilizer, I immediately realized that it looked too flat. I’m much happier with the variegated blue background that has some sparkle to it. It has the outer space look I wanted.
