107 – Drawing Too Many Snakes!

I spent quite a bit of time drawing and revising the idea of a snake slide as a feature in my amusement park plan, only to realize that it was taking on too much importance. I liked the concept too much to scrap it completely, so I made it smaller and more of a background element.

Circus impresario P. T. Barnum created an exciting device to move crowds towards and through an exit with “See the Egress” signage. This sparked my enthusiasm for a snake slide as exit for my quilt’s funhouse. In the drawing stage, I wrote about developing this idea in posts 23 – 25.
