116- Step Up, Look Lively!

Art mannequins – we’ve all seen them, and you’ve got to admit, they look a bit wooden. I’ve never thought they were helpful for drawing. I like the plastic figures that are more lifelike in terms of body shape and poseable positions. You can get them in big art stores or on-line. Some of them are way overdone in terms of musculature unless you are aiming for super-heroes. They became available as anime and manga drawing became more popular. I end up by duct taping them into position as the stands that come with the figures still need perfecting.
