19 – The “What If” Stage

May 19, 2019 By

The stitching is about complete. Since I’ve done this on my mid-arm (a Handi-Quilter Sweet 16) I can easily take it away from the machine to see it up on my design wall. It’s nice to take a break from stitching, contemplate progress and then easily go back to more stitch work.  I’m auditioning edge treatments to cover the odd shape of painted area before I cut away excess backing. It’s the “what if” stage. What if I painted flames, how about shiny ribbon?
