4 – Dragon Pose
A carved wooden dragon traveled home with me from Thailand. It will be the model for the dragons I want to air-brush. I sketched out the intended composition in pencil before photographing a few poses, then uploaded them to my computer, where I created the painting composition using Photoshop Elements. Then, off to the internet to collect reference images for the rest of the picture.
I wouldn’t be trying to make a polished final picture from this, so only rough photo editing was needed. Drop some backgrounds, maybe flop an image or play with sizing. My posts about “An Ordinary Day” have more details about using photo editing in my art quilting work (another of those creative side-trips that I mentioned earlier!)
