69 – It’s not funny
I’ve got some idea of my snake slide drawn, so now what happens? I recall being slightly dizzy at the exit of a big slide, but also the need to quickly get out of the way of the next person coming down the chute. What would be my fear at the end of a dis-orientating experience, what would I least like to happen as I crawl out of a snake pit?
Someone laughing and pointing – it’s an amusement park! Being entertained by the distress of others is part of the fun!
But extend that to real life, especially in these days of a polarized country, where bullies thrive on the humiliation of others. Again, I find this amusement park idea to have so many avenues for speaking about my fears.
