72 – Sizing up a bully

How do I know how large to draw a figure? It’s back to boxes and the perspective grid. At the start of all my drawing I made a guide for the size of people, so referring to that, I know how tall to make the box.

The bottom of the box is the ground upon which the figure’s feet must solidly sit, and the angle of the body is easier to envision within this framing box.
