74 – Cap / guns

December 6, 2020 By

I’ve drawn a shooting gallery in my amusement park and now I’m working on characters that are passing by, a man with two children. The man, who is wearing a red cap, is interested in the guns.

Ah, geee – can you guess the significance?

One child wants to go there and the other is striking a somewhat operatic pose of reaching back to something appealing (the gingerbread house) while being pulled away.

I’ve got the concept and base drawing, but I notice that the man’s legs are too chunky and large for his torso size. The kid behind is in the wrong position! Floating in space! The child wouldn’t be that far back in perspective space.
