18 – Distorted reflection
A hall of mirrors was never as good as it promised to be. Amusing, yes, but the quality of mirrors wasn’t good enough to easily trick anyone. Anyways, for my quilt, how would I show the mish-mosh of images with fabric collage? This idea is more complicated than I need it to be.
How about the wavy mirrors? All those fun distortions?
Again, I immediately see the connection to life – social media! What we see posted – reality? Or warped reflection? People anonymously trying on different personas to see reactions of others. And scary in a general sense of how much inaccuracy is accepted as fact. Gotta work this into my artwork!
