Work Contents

Paint Usage?

The landscape was painted. Some areas were airbrush painted. The figures and rafts are fabric collage.

Computer Usage?

Computer research of rafting photos.

Reliance on Reference Photos?

Photos were referenced to give me ideas on shapes and shadows of people in the rafts.

The idea of letting go and  having other forces carry me along, just to drift and enjoy the ride seemed exactly to be the thing I needed at the moment

Made for my own enjoyment.

Knots & Tangles

Creatively I felt adrift, without the moorings and motivations of ideas. I searched through some stored samples from previous workshops for inspiration, and this seemed to have potential. It is more difficult to fit a new idea into a previous piece, but I am pretty happy with how this came out.
