Work Contents
Paint Usage?
A combination of painting and collage techniques – some elements were painted and collaged together and then added to the painted background.
Computer Usage?
I painted the central flower first, then needed my computer to correctly size the photo I was using for background reference. I could then make a full sized print out to guide where I would paint different areas.
Reliance on Reference Photos?
I happened to have shot the perfect photo to refer to while painting this quilt!
Would you like to see how this quilt was made?
A beautiful flower resulted from a silk painting workshop taught by Andrea Brokenshire, – it had to get used somewhere!

Knots & Tangles
Transparency of the painted silk allowed the background to show through. Details about how I solved the problem and other posts related to this quilt in the “Read about my process” section.
