Materials:
Cotton fabric, fusible web, sheer ribbon, chalk, acrylic paint, metallic threads, batting
Techniques:
Fused raw edge applique, photo transfer, paint, machine and hand stitched
Knots & Tangles
Some mental stretching was required to figure out how to do photo transfers, stitching with metallic thread, fusing different kinds of materials, but it went together smoothly besides that.

The blackboard and the words on it are painted.

Had to do some searches for the disturbing news photos inside the blast areas.
Reliance on Reference Photos?
I made transfers of some of the news photos that I had located.
