Knots & Tangles

The entire process of making this quilt went quite smoothly. I really had fun making the little people. As I put their hair, clothing and accessories on with tweezers, they began to develop personalities. I could imagine the conversations they were having and felt like I was joining them at the beach!

Work Contents

Paint Usage?

The sky is painted, everything else is fabric collage.

Computer Usage?

I made a rough outline of the major areas and then enlarged that to the full size. With that, I could indicate where some structures would be placed.

Reliance on Reference Photos?

I used a photograph taken by Wil Robinson of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He generously granted permission for me to use it.
