This is a wholecloth quilt – it is entirely painted before stitching. Painted with textile inks.

I made some random painted fabric in a class taught by Judy Coates-Perez. This was at a week long acrylic ink session at Arrowmont Studios in Tennessee. Afterwards, I made some small pieces from my paintings.
