it was a little difficult to match the prints of two different color versions along the seams of light and dark blue.

Using a home machine to do the over all quilting takes quite a bit of maneuvering skill! I am not used to handling the bulk of material, so echo quilting around all the frogs and leaves required some practice. I wanted to hide family names in the quilting, so I needed to be cautious about spacing my stitches to make everything seem evenly distributed.

I wanted to make a usable quilt for my daughter. She really liked frogs at that time so this fabric seemed perfect. I had completed only one traditional bed quilt and I was already looking for something more unconventional in construction.
