Knots & Tangles

Progress came to a complete halt when I insisted on having a hiker with a red backpack crossing the stream. It wasn’t until I was sorting through some family photos that the solution arrived. I spotted a photo of my kids in a pose that would fit in so much better than the hiker idea. Once I abandoned my initial plan, work proceeded much easier.

Work Contents

Paint Usage?

The two figures are painted, the rest is fabric collage.

Computer Usage?

None. This quilt was the reckoning that having a plan for something this complicated would be way more efficient!

Reliance on Reference Photos?

A family trip to the Blue Ridge  and Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee supplied all the reference photos I needed.
