Cotton fabric, acrylic ink and paint, watercolor pencil, watercolor crayon, wool/poly felt batting, fusible web, printed label, MonoPoly thread, various threads, Azek board, lattice stripping
Techniques:
Quilt: Hand painted fabric, machine stitching, inkjet printed label, fusing
Overlay: Stitching on water soluble stabilizer
Computer: QR Code linked to Photoshop created map series

Paint Usage?
The Map was painted with textile and acrylic paint. This is a re-worked version of the original “Writings on the Wall.”
Computer Usage?
A QR code linked the quilt to a page on my website displaying changes in internet usage over time. The link has since broken and the static QR code I used is not editable. If I exhibit this piece again, I will replace the QR code to re-link the quilt to “Compendium of Connectivity.”
Reliance on Reference Photos?
I referred to an atlas to paint a map of a believable world view.

Re-worked painted map
