19 – Memory fills in the details of reference
My photogenic family, looking our best!
I remembered that we took photos at a boardwalk amusement hall in New Jersey. These might be handy references for funhouse mirror reflections.
Whenever I can, I like to use my own photos for reference. The details are more alive in my mind and easier to shape into drawings. And of course, then I don’t have to worry about crediting the photo or using someone else’s idea.
