50″ x 47″
Cotton tablecloth, cotton fabric for binding, batting, acrylic ink and paint, metal protest buttons (pin backs removed, sewn on)
Re-purposed tablecloth painted and stitched, embellished with sewn-on protest buttons.
I neglected to double check the size requirements for the show I was entering, and made the quilt 2″ too wide. Fortunately, I was able to remove the binding and adjust the size.
I painted a protest sign on the back of the quilt, just for fun – and then I managed to get a splotch of black paint on the front. I was able to remove the border (again) and replace it, getting rid of the paint error.
