Inspiration:
I had an urgent need to comment on the Trump Administration’s anti-immigration policies.
Knots & Tangles
First I had to locate the correct nails – pointy, thick, and not too long. It was quite a project to evenly coat more than 5,000 masonry nails with spray paint. Then, I thought I could remove the nubs from a rubber welcome mat and glue the painted nails i, but the placement was too irregular and unstable. I developed a grid system for holding the nails in place and also worked to emphasize my design.
