Fused raw edge applique, painted, machine and hand stitched
Progress came to a complete halt when I insisted on having a hiker with a red backpack crossing the stream. It wasn’t until I was sorting through some family photos that the solution arrived. I spotted a photo of my kids in a pose that would fit in so much better than the hiker idea. Once I abandoned my initial plan, work proceeded much easier.
The natural beauty of Appalachia is truly inspiring! After a family vacation, I had many photos to provide ideas.
