7 – Scary fun
One of my journal entries listing different aspects of fear brought me to the idea of amusement parks and the various ways people can laugh at a momentary fright.
I’ve been on a roller coaster once…on a dare…never again…being absolutely terrified isn’t for me. Apparently, lots of people do like being scared for fun; I wonder what is the psychological reason behind that. It’s a provocative thought for my art about fear.
I feel that I’m onto something for my next quilt, a way to combine bright colors, fun and being frightened in some believable way.
